Zac Efron and Amanda Seyfried cast in new Scooby Doo animated movie

The cast for Warner Bros. new animated Scooby Doo feature for just seems to keep on growing! After the recent news of Saturday Night Live‘s Will Forte and Jane the Virgin‘s Gina Rodriguez being cast as Shaggy and Velma respectively, it would seem two more members of Mystery Inc. have been cast – Fred and Velma!

Reports are now flying in that Bad Neighbours’ Zac Efron and Mamma Mia’s Amanda Seyfried have both been cast respectively. This completes the gang of the Mystery Machine, with renowned voice actor, Frank Welker, returning to voice of Scooby-Doo.

The animated 3D feature – also expected to be released in cinemas – is entitled Scoob and is more than just a Scooby Doo adventure. The movie will incorporate other characters from Hanna-Barbara, such as Captain Caveman – to be voiced by Saturday Night Live alumni Tracy Morgan.

There is no confirmed word on who the animated heroes will be pitted against, but its believed that the gang will be up against another Hanna-Barbara favourite – Dick Dastardly!

Scoob is due for release May 15, 2020.
