Keri Russell shares small detail about her Star Wars IX character - ScreenHeads

We still know pretty much nothing about Star Wars IX, not as much as a title or trailer. However, Star Wars newbie Keri Russell has begun to give off a couple of details about her part in the movie.

In a recent interview on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Russell opened up just a tad about her costume in the heavily-anticipated film.

Russell was noted as saying: “I do have the coolest costume, I can say that.”

Everything else the Dawn of the Planet of the Apes star was tightlipped on, including her role in the film, but what do you expect from someone involved in a Star Wars film? However, there are rumour circulating that Russell will be revealed as one the fabled Knights of Ren.

Some things that we do know about the final instalment of the Skywalker saga is that Carrie Fisher’s Princess Leia will appear through unused footage from The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi after the famed Star Wars legend passed away in 2016.

Other new cast members in Star Wars IX are Lost‘s Dominic Monaghan, Vera‘s Naomi Ackie and Logan‘s Richard E. Grant respectively, who are appearing in undisclosed roles.

Returning cast members include Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaacs, Adam Driver and Greg Grunberg. Oh, and don’t forget R2-D2 and C3PO…I mean Jimmy Lee and Anthony Daniels. Old School fans will also be happy to know that Billy Dee Williams is returning as Lando Calrissian for the first time since the Return of the Jedi.

Star Wars IX is to be released December 19 in the UK and December 20 in the US.
