Oscar Isaac In Negotiations To Play Marvel Studios’ Moon Knight
From Poe Dameron to Marc Spector
Looks like Star Wars‘ Oscar Isaac is having another stab at a comic book role.
Deadline has reported that the actor is in final talks to take on the heroic role of Moon Knight. If cast, he will appear in his own Disney+ show for the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

In the comics, Moon Knight is the hero identity of Marc Spector, an ex-CIA operative, boxer and mercenary. Through a betrayal that has him left for dead, is given a second chance at life and becomes Moon Knight. From there, Spector also “moonlights” as millionaire Steven Grant and cab driver Jake Lockley in order to protect his identity and have an in with different societies.
Just over a year ago Marvel unveiled their plans for Moon Knight, She-Hulk and Ms Marvel to all feature in their own individual shows for Disney+. Since the news, Marvel have found their Ms Marvel in 16 year old Iman Vellani. For She-Hulk, it was believed that Orphan Black‘s Tatiana Maslany was cast, though this has since been debunked. But with Marvel, who can really be trusted?

Isaac has become well known for appearing in big franchises in recent years. The star appeared as the titular villain of 2016’s X-Men: Apocalypse and appeared as pilot Poe Dameron in Star Wars’ Sequel Trilogy between 2015 and 2019.

There is no official word on when the Moon Knight show will be released. However, it is tipped to release at some point in 2022 with filming rumoured to begin in November of this year in Atlanta.
