Epix reveals first trailer for Pennyworth

Has Batman’s butler ever looked cooler?

The first Pennyworth trailer has been released, and it looks like it’s going to be a bit different from what DC fans are used to. The Epix show is set to show Alfred Pennyworth, Bruce Wayne/Batman’s butler, whilst in his heyday.

During the 10-episode first season we will see the former SAS soldier begin his own security company and begin working closely with Bruce’s father, Thomas Wayne. You can view the trailer below.

The trailer does not give very much away, but we do get a quick glimpse of what Alfred will be getting up to, including running into Paloma Faith’s villainous Bet Sykes, who is described as being sadistic and and sharp-tongued.

Pennyworth stars Endeavour‘s Jack Bannon as the title character, who is described as handsome, cheerful and charming but struggles to stray away from the killer he used to be.

Pennyworth will hit TV screens sometime this Summer.
