“My name, is Barry Allen…”

The Flash may be a spin-off to Arrow, but it has proven to be just as popular. Having just finished it’s seventh season, the show is not short on popular episodes, but which are the favourites?

We at ScreenHeads have rooted through the shows episode log so far to pick out our top 10! Scroll and have a look at our choices.

10. The Last Temptation of Barry Allen Part One (6×07)

The first in a two-parter that led into the big Crisis On Infinite Earths event. Part one explores Barry being coaxed to join Season 6’s first big bad, Ramsey Rosso/Bloodwork, so as to save him from his impending doom during Crisis.

It’s a great change of pace in seeing the titular hero tempted by evil and seeing the struggle the character goes through. Also some top class acting from our lead Grant Gustin.

9. Enter Zoom (2×06)

Zoom has easily proven to be the most terrifying villain of the show so far. This episode marks the first time he truly shows his ruthlessness and danger to Team Flash.

Most of the episode may not be incredible, but the final act in which Barry is beaten to a pulp is gripping. The cool Batman Returns reference of ripping off his mask can’t go unnoticed either.

8. Flashpoint (3×01)

From the moment the Season 2 finale established that the Flashpoint storyline was coming, fans around the world rejoiced. This premiere episode of Season 3 takes us full throttle into The Flash‘s version of the story and it doesn’t disappoint.

We get some interesting twists on our favourite characters and even though the Flashpoint Paradox only lasts for this single episode, it gives us a lot to enjoy and lays down groundwork for the rest of the season.

7. Therefore I Am (4×07)

An episode centred around the season’s villain and his origins. Most would probably not expect this to be in a top 10 list, but the story of Clifford Devoe is a fun one, filled with both emotion and excitement.

Neil Sandilands shown in this episode that he was truly worthy of Big Bad status playing The Thinker. We also get a fun twist on our hero being made out to be the psychopath in all of this. A really great concept and a perfect set up before getting to know our villain more and more.

6. Escape From Earth-2 (2×14)

The second of a two-parter, with the first showing up later in the list actually. This story finishes off our proper introduction to the multiverse of the Arrowverse and leaves A LOT of hanging threads for the remainder of the season.

With some intriguing moments, big shocks and traditional “will they escape?” sections as our characters try to escape Zoom and return to Earth-1, this definitely serves it’s spot.

5. Fast Enough (1×23)

The first season of this hit show was triumphant, and the finale works as the icing on the cake. We get unanswered questions finally answered. You’re guaranteed get tears. Adrenaline from the first scene. Then we get one hell of a cliffhanger.

Easily the best season finale that the show has ever produced.

4. Welcome to Earth-2 (2×13)

The first in the Earth-2 story that we mentioned earlier! We get a very fun introduction to alternate versions of our main characters, plus some unexpected guest stars. As you can tell from the image above, Barry and Cisco do what any other person would do once landing on an alternate earth.

A very fun introduction to the two-parter, with most of the dark elements and big twists coming from the second.

3. The Trap (1×20)

A big nail biter of an episode. We watch as the original members of Team Flash work to uncover the truth of of Harrison Wells and his connection to Barry’s mother’s murder.

There is a lot of fun in watching the plan unfold and the nerves definitely kick in as we edge closer to the team’s plan being executed.
