So, No Way Home left Peter Parker in a very different situation than he has been in before. Aunt May has passed away. Our other Spider-Men and multiversal villains have been sent back to their worlds. Then, Peter made the ultimate sacrifice: have Doctor Strange cast a spell that has everyone forget who Peter Parker is.
From there we’re left with the people of New York still questioning if Spider-Man can be trusted or not. Peter even steps out on his own by renting an apartment, prepping to study his GED and also putting together a homemade suit to fight crime in.
With the official news that yet another Spidey trilogy is coming, where will this potentially lead our webslinger to now? Let’s have a think about it…
Peter working for The Daily Bugle

With how things panned out in No Way Home, this could be questionable but hear me out. J. Jonah Jameson’s new outlet hit out with a smear campaign to drag Peter Parker and Spider-Man’s reputation through the mud. We even get a tearful Peter watching as J.J rips him apart just after he watched May die. Would Peter really follow the usual source material and begin working for the Bugle after this?
Ultimately, Peter needs to make money to make ends meet. Could he swallow his pride and begin the trait of being Spider-Man’s unofficial photographer? It would make for an interesting relationship between Peter and Jameson. Especially now given that the latter has zero idea who the former is.
Introductions of new supporting characters

With Strange’s spell cast, it also took Zendeya’s MJ and Jacob Batalon’s Ned Leeds from being FOS’s (Friends Of Spider-Man), meaning they could possibly not feature as prominently in the next trilogy.
As with any Spider-Man outing, the hero needs his supporting characters. So, who could be filling out the character list moving forward? The MCU’s Betty Brant is already established and is keen to work in the new business; could she work alongside Peter at the Bugle? The Bugle could also introduce us to a new version of Robbie Robertson. Could a new Gwen Stacey or Harry Osborn turn up as well? Probably not. But the point is, if we’re getting a complete shift for the next stage of Peter’s life, it leaves the world open to a whole new support network.
Venom enters the MCU…properly

That post-credit scene clearly wasn’t done just for a bit of fun. The scene showed Tom Hardy’s Eddie Brock sent back to his universe, however he leaves behind a small blob of Venom behind. Simply an elaborate way of telling fans that Venom and Peter could potentially meet if Marvel and Sony decide to at some point? Surely not. This seems to tell us that wheels are in motion for the symbiote to take a more prominent role in Spider-Man’s MCU story at some point.
We already have an Eddie Brock on the big screen, so I doubt Sony will want to confuse everyone with another version. We can almost definitely guarantee that Peter Parker will be attached to the symbiote, but who will be the host that Parker needs to fight? Remember, in the comics Venom joins with Flash Thompson, who is played in the MCU by talented actor Tony Revolori. Could be the new take on Venom that Spidey deals with? Unless Brock is dragged back into the MCU coincidentally, this seems most likely.
Passing the torch to Miles Morales

This is something that has been bubbling since Spider-Man: Homecoming. Fans have been crying out for a live-action introduction of this Spider-Man for some time, and with the fact that we know he exists in the MCU, when seems best for him to show up? Well, a new trilogy would suffice.
Although we’re looking forward to seeing Tom Holland’s hero again, would it not make sense for his next film to hand over the Spider-Man identity to young Morales? That would lead Morales to being central in the other two films, with Holland maybe still showing up but just as Peter Parker. A friend giving Morales advice and guidance from time to time.
With how Parker’s journey has gone through the MCU so far, he would probably see it as a blessing in disguise for someone else to be bit by a radioactive spider and be willing to save New York from evil lurking around every corner. Interesting theory that may be a bit far fetched, but it’s worth thinking about.
No more mentors?

The Homecoming trilogy turned out to be about how Peter Parker becomes the Spider-Man we know from the comics. With that long origin came the need for senior superheroes to guide the wall crawler on his journey. With that journey now at an end, surely Peter has grown out of having mentors who he disappoints and then redeems for.
If Holland’s Parker is staying around for a full new trilogy, it’s important that we stick with the idea that this is a more mature Spider-Man now, and with that he needs to have learnt from his previous experiences and now be able to stand on his own two feet. It would even be fun for him to acknowledge that he now has no one to look up to and and must go completely off his own instincts and be positive that he’s doing the right thing.
