Chris Hemsworth welcomes Ryan Reynolds to The MCU

…And in true Deadpool fashion, too!

With 21st Century Fox now being the official property of Disney, it was only polite for at least one of the MCU regulars to welcome the newbies with open arms…or at least the only actor who is actually moving from Fox to Disney. Chris Hemsworth has taken to social media to officially welcome Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The Thor actor took to Instagram, posting/saying:

Hemsworth captioned an image of The Merc With A Mouth parodying The God of Thunder’s hammer and helmet, with a silhouette of the Disney logo in the background. The caption? “Our love child”.

For anyone who knows the Deadpool franchise, and Ryan Reynolds humour…this hit the mark perfectly.

The move of 21st Century Fox to Disney is big. It means that Marvel Studios now officially owns and has the rights to feature some of their most beloved heroes. That includes The Fantastic Four, X-Men and Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool.

All characters moving from Fox to Disney are expected to be featured in the MCU with new actors. All accept Reynolds that is, and we wouldn’t have it any other way! Reynolds has also already confirmed that a third Deadpool movie is in the works with him attached!

Thor actor Hemsworth – set to feature in the upcoming Avengers: Endgame – is obviously thrilled that he may be able to work with The Merc With A Mouth…we’ll see what the future of the MCU holds.
