The DCEU Cast Their Supergirl
Imagine having this kind of Zoom call…
The cast for The Flash starring Ezra Miller just seems to keep growing, and for the better! First we had both Ben Affleck AND Michael Keaton lined up to return as their versions of Batman. Now, a Kryptonian has been added to the list.
Deadline has reported that The Young and The Restless’ Sasha Calle has officially been cast as Supergirl for the film. Director Andy Muschietti confirmed the news via posting a Zoom call recording in which he revealed the news to Calle. The footage – which you can see below – is brilliant to say the least.

Nothing is known about how this version of Supergirl will fit into the story, but the film using the classic Flashpoint storyline as a basis. Could she be from another timeline?
Calle is the first Latina actress to portray the character and was chosen amongst over 425 actresses. Calle’s audition process, all done through Zoom, also consisted of a chemistry read with lead star Ezra Miller.
Muscietti had this to say:
I saw more than four hundred auditions. The talent pool was truly amazing and it was very hard to make a decision, but we finally found an actress who was destined to play this role.
