Titans Season 3 Has Cast Their Tim Drake

Drake is the third Robin to enter the show

Hot off the heels of their Barbara Gordon announcement, Titans have brought another big Batman character to their cast. Variety has reported that Jay Lycurgo will play Tim Drake, known as the third Robin to comic fans.

Drake is described as a streetwise kid who’s managed to grow up on the toughest streets without losing his indelible belief in heroism. His easy-going demeanor is backed up by a near-genius mind, a natural detective with a perception of detail far beyond his years. 

Batman fans may recognise Lycurgo from the first trailer for Matt Reeves’ The Batman. He plays one of the gang members who witnesses the Dark Knight give a brutal beat down. It is unclear (and probably unlikely) if Lycurgo will also play Drake in the big screen reboot.

The young actor’s other credits include the critically-acclaimed HBO series I May Destroy You and the Amazon short Father of the Bride.

Season 3 now has up to five big characters set to enter during it’s run. This includes the likes of Savannah Welch’s Barbara Gordon, Lex Luthor and Roy Harper. Could we be in for more characters popping up when the show finally returns?

Titans Season 3 will now air on HBO Max at some point during 2021.
