Titans Season 3 Finds It’s Barbara Gordon
Will she help in the fight against Red Hood?
It appears the HBO Max show will be adding another member of the Bat-family to their roster. Variety has reported that Six‘s Savannah Welch will be stepping into the role of Barbara Gordon.
As far as her background goes, Gordon’s will be pretty solid. She will have a history as Batgirl before The Joker shot and paralysed her, leaving her wheelchair bound. Though it is said this won’t have stopped her from becoming the Commissioner of police like her father, Jim Gordon.

Hardcore DC fans will notice that these origins borrow heavily from the comic book story The Killing Joke regarding The Joker paralysing young Gordon, and the animated TV show Batman Beyond in terms of her going on to become Commissioner of police.
Barbara Gordon’s paralysis famously saw the character take up crimefighting from behind her computer screen, under the new codename of Oracle. Welch is also an amputee due to an accident back in 2016, which makes her casting as this version of Gordon that bit more effective and crucial.

Variety reports that:
Her life gets more complicated when Dick Grayson (Brenton Thwaites) returns to Gotham, rekindling their old romance and starting a new crime fighting partnership.
It is also reported that she will have a “combative” relationship with Bruce Wayne. Is she blaming him for her paralysis? Is it something relating to his partnership with her father? We’ll have to wait and see.
Barbara Gordon has been portrayed previously in live-action by various actresses. She was portrayed by Yvonne Craig in the 60’s TV show alongside Adam West’s caped crusader. Dina Meyer in the ill-fated Birds of Prey TV show. Oh, and we can’t forget Alicia Silverstone’s version of Batgirl in the famously hated 1997 film Batman & Robin.
Other confirmed characters for Season 3 of Titans include Roy Harper (known as Green Arrow’s sidekick, Arsenal), Lex Luthor and Jonathan Crane/Scarecrow. There have been no announcements as to who will be playing any of these roles just yet.

Season 3’s first half is set to also kick off the introduction of villain Red Hood. Fans will know that second Robin Jason Todd, a character on the show since Season 1 played by Curran Walters, became the character in the comics after being beaten to death by The Joker. Being resurrected, Todd found a new attitude and anger towards Batman. From the looks of how we last saw Todd in the finale of Season 2, it appear Titans will give a new reason as to why he dons the red mask.
The new season will also give us Blackfire, the sister of Titans member Starfire, as a primary villain. Viewers will know that Blackfire, played by Damaris Lewis, made her entrance at the end of the previous episode and is apparently on her way for a reunion with her sibling.

Titans Season 3 will now air on HBO Max (previously DC Universe) at some point in 2021.

Your point of view caught my eye and was very interesting. Thanks. I have a question for you.
