WB Casts Their Batgirl For Solo Film
The film is set to stream on HBO Max
It appears that Warner Bros. have found their actress for the role of Batgirl. According to Deadline, In The Heights‘ Leslie Grace was cast after a successful audition earlier this week. Other actresses in line for the role included Zoey Deutch and Isabella Merced.

The Batgirl solo film is set to stream on HBO Max. This will make it the first major project to debut exclusively on the streaming service. The film will be directed by Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, with Christina Hodson on scriptwriting duties and Kristin Burr producing.
Little is known about the plot, but we do know that the version we’ll see is Barbara Gordon. She is the daughter of popular Batman character Commissioner Gordon and joins the caped crusader in his efforts to keep Gotham City safe.
It is unknown if Batman or any other members of the Bat Family will feature in the film. It is also unclear if the film fits into any particular Batman continuity, such as Robert Pattinson’s version or Ben Affleck’s.

Batgirl will debut on HBO Max and currently has no release date set.
