New Thor: Love and Thunder Trailer Reveals Gorr

“So this is my vow: all Gods will die.”
The marketing for Thor: Love and Thunder is really starting to make up for lost time. We now have our full trailer for the upcoming fourquel(?). Thankfully, we’re getting a bit more context to what will be going down in the God of Thunder’s latest adventure. The biggest thing being our first look at the film’s villain.
You can watch the new trailer below:
Through a quick tale from Director Taika Waititi’s fan-favourite Korg, we’re updated on where Thor is up to. After getting himself back in shape and spending time with The Guardians, it looks like he is on the search for self discovery. This then unexpectedly brings him back into contact with his old flame, Jane Foster. Yes, and she claimed Mjölnir and become The Mighty Thor.
In the case of our main villain, we get the first glimpse we’ve prayed for of Christian Bale’s terrifying Gorr the God Butcher. We don’t see much of him in action, but we know that he is on a mission. To destroy all gods. Could Hemsworth’s hero be prepping for his final bow?

The film also boasts a long list of other Marvel alumni returning for this fourth instalment. Chris Pratt, Dave Bautista and the gang return as The Guardians of the Galaxy respectively. Then there is of course Tessa Thompson’s Valkyrie, who since Avengers: Endgame has held the title of Queen of Asgard. Another new addition to the cast aside from Bale include Russell Crowe as Zeus, but we expect he’ll be one of the first to suffer at the hands of Gorr.
The film is also hanging a massive question mark over who will be included in the love aspect that the title refers to. Waititi has already said that fans maybe shouldn’t just assume we’ll see Thor and Jane Foster batting their eyes at one another again. We do see in the teaser trailer that Thor is seemingly kissing someone (maybe he goes on a bit of railroad of romances?). Somehow, our heads are turning to Valkyrie and Jane having a thing, but time will tell.
Thor: Love and Thunder hits cinemas July 8.
