“Who’s going to protect the world, if not people like you?”

The first trailer for Marvel Studio’s next big Disney+ series, She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, has finally arrived. You can watch the teaser trailer below:

The trailer officially reveals that Tatiana Haslany’s Jennifer Walters will be recruited to be a lawyer for superhuman individuals, whilst being taught how to control her new found hulking powers from cousin Bruce Banner, played by MCU alumni Mark Ruffalo. It is also revealed that the nine episode run is due to start streaming on August 17th! Exactly three months from this teaser’s release.

The traditional origins of Jennifer Walters’ green alter ego consist of her needing a blood transfusion from her cousin in order to save her life. This in turn passes on his gamma-related curse to create her own superhero identity. We do have a shot in the trailer that features a car tumbling down a hill. A nice nod to the first episode of the live-action Bill Bixby/Lou Ferrigno series, but also maybe a hint to how Walters needs her cousins help?

The series brings in a whole host of new and old characters. Joining the world of Marvel includes Space Force‘s Ginger Gonzaga, The Good Place‘s Jameela Jamil, Hamilton‘s Renée Elise Goldsberry and Arrow‘s Josh Segarra. Returning for the show is Tim Roth’s Emil Blonsky/Abomination and Benedict Wong’s Wong.

Roth previously appeared as the villain in 2008’s The Incredible Hulk opposite Edward Norton’s incarnation of Bruce Banner. Wong has of course had a variety of appearances over the years, most recently in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. The pair were actually battling it out and then seeming to know each other in Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. Could this series further explain this relationship?

The series’ official premise can be read below:

“Jennifer Walters has a complicated life as a single attorney in her 30s who also becomes the 6-foot-7, green superhero She-Hulk.”

The MCU introduction of She-Hulk was officially revealed at the D23 Expo three years ago. This was alongside the news at both Moon Knight and Ms. Marvel would also be arriving in their own Disney+ shows. Moon Knight of course recently finished airing it’s first (possibly only) series, with Ms. Marvel due to hit Disney+ on June 8 of this year.

She-Hulk hits Disney+ on August 17.
