Did you get excited for these shows?

Its not just movie trailers that get us excited nowadays, right? With how accessible TV shows are nowadays and in so many different ways, trailers have taken over the medium in a really exciting fashion.

Because of this, we have compiled our favourite TV trailers for you all to enjoy. So…enjoy!

10. 11.22.63

A limited series from J.J Abrams and Stephen King. What more could you ask for? Led by The Disaster Artist‘s James Franco and based on King’s best-selling novel, 11/22/63 tells the story of a teacher who is tasked with travelling back years before the assassination of JFK in order to prevent said event.

If this time-wimey trailer doesn’t get you excited with appearances from the likes of Little Women‘s Chris Cooper and 1917‘s George MacKay, what will? This trailer definitely got me excited to watch!

9. The Flash Season 2

The Flash‘s first season finale gave us a hell of a cliffhanger, and so when San Diego’s 2015 Comic-Con rolled around…well us fans were excited to see what happened next.

We didn’t get much, but it was enough to get the theories flying around. A blue speedster runs around Central City. Dialogue from Tom Cavanagh’s Harrison Wells/Eobard Thawne who is believed to be dead. worrying words from Carlos Valdes’ Cisco Ramon. A surprising admission from Barry Allen himself. Then, the text reading “Zoom is coming”. Exciting times for Flash fans when this dropped!

8. 13 Reasons Why Season 3

Before this trailer, nobody had a clue what was in store for this show’s third instalment. As we get a crane show flitting in and out of different scenes showing each character looking quite suspicious, we finally end up at a funeral. The funeral of the show’s regular villain, Bryce Walker. And there is revealed the mystery of the third season – who killed Bryce?

A really well executed way of finally revealing what will go down for the third year.

7. Doctor Who Season 5

Airing directly after David Tennant’s final episode which had his Tenth Doctor regenerate into Matt Smith’s Eleventh Doctor, we got our first full length look at the new Time Lord.

A surprise to most fans, but a welcome one for sure. We get a proper look at the new TARDIS exterior. You get to see Smith partnering up with new companion Amy Pond, played by now-globally famous Karen Gillan. More than anything, you get a proper taste at what Tennant’s replacement will be like. Hard to believe this dropped nearly 12 years ago!

6. Stranger Things Season 3

Stranger Things trailers have become something of a hit, and this was no exception as we find out our characters are not as safe as they believe.

With some The Who, this trailer throws us back into the town of Hawkins, giving us some fun moments from our favourite teenagers and not forgetting to give us some scary moments. A new type of monster. some new looks for our continuously ageing cast. Plus, a new time setting of the 4th of July, moving us on from the second season’s Halloween setting.

5. The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina Season 1

It was intriguing to hear that the tales of Sabrina Spellman were having a new take breathed into them. Thankfully, this debut trailer told us that we were getting something good. As with the series from back in the 90s, the series tells the story of teenager Sabrina Spellman who juggles growing up with her witch-orientated family.

Fun music choices. An interesting look at each character. A firm idea of the direction the show would be headed in. It was clear very quickly that this was giving us a very different view from the comedy show most people were familiar with. Safe to say, this trailer hits well.

4. Glow Season 1

How can anyone not fall in love with this? Centred on a wannabe actress played by Community‘s Alison Brie, we watch as her and a group of fellow women fall into the world of wrestling, signing up for the tv show GLOW (Gorgeous Ladies Of Wrestling).

Glow is all about girl power, and shows it in more ways than you think. Real life situations. Strong comedy. Again, a really good music choice. If you haven’t watched already, definitely entertain it. You’ll be wanting to chuck the first episode on straight away.

3. Arrow Season 3

Even now, the second season of the CW’s tales of Oliver Queen are considered the strongest. So, the third had a lot to follow up with…and this trailer throws us straight back into the mix.

With a quick recap of where we left Team arrow, we get action, hints to the new season’s story (both past and present) and also gives us glimpse’s at new characters. This includes Brandon Routh’s Ray Palmer/The Atom, who came to be a big part of The Arrowverse moving forward. Arrow was at a new height at this point, and this trailer made us believe us was going even higher.

2. The Crown Season 4

The latest season of The Crown had many expectations, and this first look shown that they were going to be exceeded. We got our first look at Gillian Anderson’s Margaret Thatcher as we delve into her years as Prime Minister of Great Britain. More importantly, we got to finally see Emma Corrin’s Diana Spencer in action.

The trailer feels haunting as already it hints at Lady Di’s unfortunate demise and the dread that will be felt throughout the season as she and Josh O’Connor’s Charles enter a marriage destined for heartbreak. A great introduction for the show’s most anticipated season to date.

1. Stranger Things Season 2

In the top position…well, we did say these trailers have become something of a hit.

The first season of Strangers Things smashed it for Netflix. With a second season announced and this trailer released, fans were ready for more from the town of Hawkins and the Upside Down. With an eery take on Michael Jackson’s Thriller signs that all is still not as it seems in this little town, we were all excited for what was to come. The Duffer Brothers and director Shawn Levy knew how to get us renewing our Netflix subscriptions.
