Sonequa Martin-Green cast in Space Jam 2

The reboot is set to have Lebron James as the lead!

Space Jam 2 news is starting to loosen up as it begins to expand on its cast. Star Trek: Discovery lead Sonequa Martin-Green has been revealed to be playing Lebron James’ on-screen wife in the reboot of the 90s classic Variety have reported.

The original brought Michael Jordan and Bugs Bunny into contact as they took on the Mon-Stars in a winner-takes-all basketball game.

Martin-Green has become a well-known staR as the lead in CBS’ Star Trek: Discovery, which airs on Netflix here in the UK. You may also remember her from portraying Martin-Green in The Walking Dead.

There have been rumblings of a Space Jam follow-up for quite some time and the news of James’ involvement plus official images has cemented its existence.

The reboot will be produced by Black Panther‘s Ryan Coogler and be directed by They Charge for the Sun‘s Terence Nance.

With this Space Jam 2 news being dropped, who knows what else we will find out soon?
