Whose cowl is that?

These big trailers sometimes need picking apart, don’t they? DC Fandome’s recent trailer release of The Flash has fans everywhere wondering what the hell is going on. Thankfully, we at ScreenHeads are here to save you from having to stop and start on YouTube.

A drive to Wayne Manor

We’d recognise that stone…gargoyle…thingy…anywhere, right? Someone is driving up to the home of Bruce Wayne.

TWO BARRYS

That’s right. Wayne is getting a visit from not one, but two Barry Allens. We know the story is borrowing from the Flashpoint storyline, so looks like this time around Barry will be paired up with the Barry of another universe.

A closed off Wayne Manor?

Covered furniture. An eery ambiance. It looks like since 1992, this Bruce Wayne may have become a bit of a recluse. Unfortunately the late Michael Gough is not with us to keep the manor less dusty.

Barry lights up the batcave

Needless to say, we’re seeing Barry make his way into the batcave and light it up. You’ll notice the panels look very web-ridden. Does this Bruce Wayne need a bit of a kick to done the cape and cowl again.

Barry returns to the murder of his mother?

A first glimpse of Barry’s new suit, but for fans of the Flash TV series, does this moment echo back to anything? Yep, looks like this could be the moment where Barry runs back in time and decides to save his mother from being murdered.

Barry visits his mother

Sure to be a scene filled with both emotion and a bit of humour if we really know this version of Barry Allen.

The death of a hero?

Safe to say that Barry is either about to hold hands or take something from a dying soul. Who is this? Well, the next moment will probably answer that.

The death of BATMAN?

We’ve seen the official image released of a Michael Keaton’s Batman emblem. That snippet above looks a lot like Ben Affleck’s cowl on the floor surrounded by blood. I can’t help but think that there is going to be a dark knight biting the dust during this film. Or, is our villain taking our Batmen across the multiverse?

Flash suit 2.0

A cool look at Barry’s new cowl. Where he is? Our first guess is probably some kind of containment that will help him travel through time and space? Maybe the cosmic treadmill will feed into this?

Barry saves Supergirl?

We know the Flashpoint storyline features Barry finding Superman in a government base where he has been since landing on Earth, and he is found weak and unwell. Could The Flash switch the man of steel out for Supergirl in this iteration? I think it’s also safe to say that they’re back at Wayne Manor as well.

You’ll also notice this “alternate” Barry is wearing the Flash ring…so is this version a speedster too?

Spare Flash boots?

Well, if he isn’t a speedster, he definitely wants to be! We see Barry spray painting the iconic lightning bolt onto a pair of red boots. Are they potentially old boots of Batmans?

The Flash ring

It looks like Alternate Barry will show our Barry the ring at some point. Does this somehow give him the idea for the compressed suit from the comics?

The Flash in the Batcave

It wouldn’t be a teaser trailer without a kickass real look at the new suit! And with the backdrop of the batcave nonetheless! A very cool moment for us all.

Batman returns…for a second time

That, ladies and gents, is the sound of Michael Keaton’s older Batman approaching. It has been hinted that the suit will be similar to the 80’s/90’s design. However, could they maybe lean into the Kingdom Come look? We won’t be able to confirm until new material is released.

Suited and booted

BOOM! Barry, alternate Barry and Sasha Calle’s Supergirl in all their glory! Appearing to ask Keaton’s Wayne if he’ll help in their mission. It is definitely worth noticing that alternate Barry seems to be wearing that teased fake Flash suit that is made up using a bat suit! Could this new Barry end up turning into Red Death during the film?

An ALMOST reveal of Keaton’s batmobile

The title card, then this last stinger of us almost getting as nostalgic as ever. We almost got a glimpse of Keaton’s bat mobile from back in the day. Thankfully, this means it will be showing up in all its glory at some point.
