Harrelson made his first appearance as the character for a cameo in the first film. This teased quite heavily that his villainous alter ego would be making an appearance soon.

Not much is actually known about the plot aside from Brock struggling to adjust to life with Venom, and the fact Harrelson’s Kasady will be out on the loose after a failed execution. One thing is for sure, and that is that Michelle Williams is back as Anne Weying. We’ll also get Naomi Harris as Francis Barrison. In the comics, Barrison is Kasady’s love interest and joins with the symbiote known as Shriek.

We also get The Irishman’s Stephen Graham as Detective Mulligan, someone hoping to use Brock to find the remains of Kasady’s murder victims.

Venom: Let There Be Carnage was first set to hit cinemas October 2, 2020, but thanks to Covid the film is now finally set to release September 24.
