The costume seems to be inspired by what Barbara Gordon wears in Batgirl of Burnside. This comic came from Cameron Stewart, Brenden Fletcher, Babs Tarr, and Maris Wicks.
Principle photography for the film is currently still on in production, with various new cast members now said to be on set. These include Emmerdale‘s Ethan Kai, Morbius‘ Corey Johnson and The Thick of It‘s Rebecca Front. All are currently in undisclosed roles but they are sure to be revealed soon enough.
Two roles we do know about are that of Michael Keaton’s Bruce Wayne/Batman and JK Simmons’ Commissioner James Gordon. Keaton will first reprise his 90’s take on the caped crusader in this year’s The Flash alongside Ezra Miller. Simmons was last seem as Gordon in 2017’s poorly received/yet revived Justice League. The film will also feature Brendan Fraser as the film’s villain, Garfield Lynns/Firefly.
Batgirl does not currently have a release date for HBO Max.
