Batwoman Casts Poison Ivy For Season 3
She’ll be guest starring in multiple episodes
Looks like Batwoman is bringing in a comic book favourite for its third season. Variety has reported that Paradise Lost‘s Bridget Regan has been cast as Pamela Isley/Poison Ivy. She will also appear as the character in multiple episodes.
The official character description can be read below:
Poison Ivy, a.k.a Pamela Isley, is as former botany student of Gotham University described as a passionate, brilliant scientist with a mind for changing the world for the better. But her plans shifted when she was experimented on by a colleague, injected with various plant toxins which turned her into the infamous Batman villain Poison Ivy. With a formidable power coursing through her veins, Pamela used her powers to do what she thought was right, even if Batman and those closest to her disagreed with her dangerous methods. Now effectively wiped off the board for years, Batwoman and the Bat Team must prepare themselves for Poison Ivy to return with a vengeance.

Aside from the recent Paradise Lost, Regan has also starred in various other projects. This includes Jane the Virgin, The Last Ship and White Collar. She is also no stranger to the comic book world, having starred in the Agent Carter alongside MCU veteran Hayley Atwell.
She’s also not the first actress to portray the red haired villain. Uma Thurman famously played the character in the big screen’s Batman & Robin. For the small screen, Clare Foley, Maggie Geha, and Peyton List all played the character throughout the run of Gotham. Lake Bell also lends her voice to the character for HBO Max’s animated series Harley Quinn.

Batwoman is due to return for a third season on October 13.
