David Ramsey Returning for New Arrowverse Show

David Ramsey Returning for New Arrowverse Show | ScreenHeads

Justice U is currently in the works at The CW

The Arrowverse is about to get one show bigger, and it’s even bringing back a familiar face to front it.

David Ramsey, best known as John Diggle/Spartan throughout the Arrowverse, will star in Justice U as he heads up a new team of superheroes. The series will centre around Diggle assembling five younger meta-humans and tasking them with going undercover as freshmen at a prestigious university as he oversees their education and prepares them to become the heroes of tomorrow.

If the show is picked up, Ramsey will also serve as director for the pilot episode. This falls inline with Ramsey’s recent deal with Berlanti Productions in which he will direct multiple episodes of shows across the Arrowverse. Ramsey has also had a habit as popping up as his Arrow character in various shows such as Batwoman, Superman & Lois and The Flash. This was since Arrow ended back at the start of 2020.

Since Arrow‘s finale, viewers were given concrete evidence that Diggle could become the Arrowverse’s version of John Stewart/Green Lantern. His most recent appearances across each CW show has hinted at his struggling with the decision to become a lantern or not. Could Justice U answer this finally?

This new series comes from Superman & Lois co-exec producer Michael Narducci. Narducci also worked on series including The Vampire Diaries and The Originals.
