First trailer for Fox News scandal film ‘Bombshell’ is dropped
Margot Robbie, Charlize Theron and Nicole Kidman team-up for #MeToo story.
Lionsgate has release the first trailer for Bombshell, a film centred on the sexual harassment allegations against Fox News founder Roger Ailes. The tense trailer can be viewed below:
The film boasts a stellar cast, with Atomic Blonde‘s Charlize Theron portraying ex-Fox News anchorwoman Megyn Kelly, Aquaman’s Nicole Kidman portraying ex-Fow News show host Gretchen Carlson and I, Tonya’s Margot Robbie portraying Kayla Pospisil respectively.
The film will also star The Crown‘s John Lithgow as Ailes, with a supporting cast built up of stars such as Yesterday‘s Kate McKinnon, Spy‘s Allison Janney, Star Trek Into Darkness‘ Alice Eve and Nashville‘s Connie Britton.

If the cast, plot and make-up for Theron and Kidman’s portrayals of Kelly and Carlson are anything to go by, this could be a film on a number of Oscars shortlists early next year.
Bombshell hits cinema screens December 20 in the U.S, with release dates for other territories yet to be revealed.
