First Look At Jared Leto’s Joker In Zack Snyder’s Justice League
Expect something different from Suicide Squad
With his version of Justice League now in the can, Zack Snyder has offered a small, unfocused glimpse of Jared Leto’s Joker in the new cut.
Snyder took to Twitter and posted the following which was immediately picked up by fans:
In this latest tease from Snyder, we are given a blurry image that seems to make out Joker as having no facial tattoos, long hair and potentially a balding top. The only thing in focus is the joker card which has a design plucked straight from the character’s first appearance in the comics. It is not clear how much Leto will appear in the film, but we shouldn’t expect much given how little extra footage Snyder has filmed.
Jared Leto of course played the Crown Prince of Crime in David Ayer’s Suicide Squad back in 2016. The portrayal was met with a fair bit of backlash, mainly due to the excessive tattoos and pimp-like appearance that isn’t in keeping with the character’s looks from the comics.

Leto’s appearance in this new cut of Justice League was first teased during the film’s first trailer. The teaser featured the joker card above blowing around in the wreckage of the Knightmare future teased in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. With the inclusion of a mohawk-sporting Deathstroke played again by Joe Manganiello, and Leto’s Joker having a new look, it is expected that we will get a lot more of the Knightmare world.
Zack Snyder’s Justice League was previously tipped to be released on HBO Max as a four-part limited series, however it has since been revealed that it will run as a four-hour long feature.

Zack Snyder’s Justice League will release on HBO Max on March 18 in the US. A release in the UK is yet to be announced.
