First Mission Impossible 7 Trailer is Here

“You’re fighting to save an ideal, that doesn’t exist.”

Well it’s about time! We finally have our first look at the seventh and penultimate (I KNOW) Mission Impossible movie, now officially titled Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part One.

You can watch the teaser trailer below:

Paramount Pictures

The sombre trailer does well to not tell us too much about the film’s plot, but it does include those usual big action sequences. Looks like Ethan Hunt and his crew aren’t holding back as they (unofficially) near the end of the franchise. We of course also get a look at Tom Cruise’s signature stunt of the flick to round out the trailer. It appears he rides a motorcycle at full speed off a cliff and then free falls away from it. Is there anything this guy won’t just leave to his stuntman?

We do get a good look at some of the film’s returning faces. These include Simon Pegg, Rebecca Ferguson, Ving Rhames, Vanessa Kirby and, to our surprise, Henry Czerny. Czerny’s character, Eugene Kittridge, was the former head honcho of IMF and hasn’t been seen since the very first film. So, what’s bringing him back into the fold?

New faces to the franchise include Captain America‘s Hayley Atwell, Joker‘s Shea Whigham, Titans‘ Esai Morales, Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 2‘s Pom Klementieff, Stranger Things‘ Cary Elwes and Sherlock‘s Mark Gatiss. That’s a lot of big names to pull in at the final hurdle, right?

As you can tell from the title, this film is actually being produced as the first of a two part story. Dead Reckoning Part Two is due for release June 28, 2024.

Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part One hits cinemas July 14, 2023.
